David Hekili Kenui Bell, the actor who recently appeared in Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch, has sadly passed away. His family confirmed the news to TMZ.

David’s sister, Jalene, shared a heartfelt message on Facebook, remembering him as a kind, funny, and loving younger brother. She described how he always made her feel loved and supported.

Just two weeks before his passing, David had taken his family to the premiere of Lilo & Stitch in Kapolei. It was a special evening, with fans dressed in Stitch costumes, popcorn in hand, and dreams of enjoying shave ice afterward. That night turned out to be his last family outing.

His representative, Lashauna Downie, also shared her grief, saying she found out about his death through social media. She called David one of her best talents and said he truly represented the spirit of “aloha.” She described him as a “gentle giant” who touched many lives.

The cause of David’s death has not yet been made public. However, tributes are pouring in from friends and fans, including an emotional message from his friend Gerard Elmore.

David was a proud Hawaiian, well-known in his community. He lent his voice to the public address system at Kona Airport and also acted in shows like Magnum P.I. and Hawaii Five-0.
