Oprah Winfrey’s life looks a lot different now compared to her humble beginnings in a small wood-frame house in Mississippi.
With a net worth of around $3.5 billion, Oprah has bought (and sold) some absolutely stunning properties over the years.
One of the most impressive? Her huge estate in Montecito, California.
Back in 2001, Oprah went to a party at a beautiful property in Montecito, near Santa Barbara. She fell in love with the peaceful 42-acre estate instantly.
Even though it wasn’t for sale, she convinced the owners to sell it—and sealed the deal with a check for nearly $52 million.
Fast forward to today, and Oprah’s estate—nicknamed “The Promised Land”—has grown to 70 acres after she bought neighboring land.
It’s now worth over $100 million. The centerpiece is a 23,000-square-foot mansion surrounded by flower gardens, fountains, and wide-open green spaces. It’s just as peaceful as it is luxurious.
